I was born in London, grew up in Botswana (Africa), went to boarding school in South Africa and at the age of 18 decided I wanted to see the world and spent the next 13 years travelling. I have travelled most of the major site seeing destinations as well as a lot of off the beaten track type places.
For the last few years of my travels, surfing became my driving passion; I ended up in some really remote spots in Indonesia, South and Central America, the Canary Islands and eventually Australia, where I now live.
I am big into my sports and have played or competed in sports since the age of 5 when i started Karate, Soccer and tennis. Since then I have tried just about every sport imaginable and I still feel there are more sports to find…. and I am still looking. My current sports, since I gave up rugby a couple of years ago, are triathlon, surfing, kite-surfing and cricket. At the age of 33 I still get the old skateboard out and get down the skate park with my son.
